Very Good Food! Awsome in dining atmosphere! A must visit in Ottawa!

My favourite east coast spot in town. Hands down. As a maritimer, it smells like home. Highly recommended for those interested in the sweeter taste of donairs and garlic fingers.

Loved my donair, tasted like I was back home. If you're from the east coast you need to go here. The atmosphere, music, friendliness of the staff took me right back to Nova Scotia.

What do you get when you combine a prairie girl and an east coast boy? You get the best donair place! Never did I think I’d be saying somewhere outside of Nova Scotia makes the best Donairs, but there you go! Most of the east coast Donairs places use prepackaged meat and sauce. Halifax Donair makes their own sauce on site and the meat is prepared specifically for them to the old standards. You walk into the restaurant and the familiar smell of sweet sauce, meat and all the other goodness of great food reminds me of home. You get a cheery hello and your eyes take in all the nostalgia of east coast decor along with the melody of familiar east coast tunes. If that was the only thing good, I’d probably come back just for that. Luckily the food is so good and we keep coming back to enjoy the taste, smells and sounds of east coast living and conversation. If you’ve ever wanted a little taste of home or wondered what the heck is a donair and why are people out east so obsessed with thief, you don’t have to go far-just down to Bronson St to a small quaint gem of a building. Run, don’t walk, and get you some good eats from the best part of Canada. Edit to add: the donair egg rolls are AMAZING!! Lots of sauce and so good.

Stopped by for the first time today after driving by this place many times. The atmosphere is pure east coast, it felt like home and the owner chatted with us for about 15 minutes with her east coast charm. The donairs were perferct, hand cut meat, exact rights sauce and just tomato and onion, like it is supposed to be. Next time we are going for large and the owner recommended newfie fries!

I have been craving a donair for weeks but don't order because I often end up with that sliced loaf that restaurants try to pass off as donair meat. I found Centertown Halifax donair on uber eats and the reviews were positive. I ordered 2 donairs and some wings. I didn't love the wings they were over cooked and too chewy. I really wish I hadn't ordered the donair because now I will want it everyday. Absolutely delicious! And the sauce, wow, it was also great. What a wonderful restaurant.

Wow!!!! I grew up in New Brunswick and this was the best Donair I have ever had in my 34 years! From the homemade meat (yes, the owner makes the meat from scratch) to the sweet Nova Scotia sauce (also made by the owner), making it the best donair you will ever devour! I still can't get over it! Wish I lived closer than 400 miles away, otherwise, I would be here at least twice a week. Their garlic fingers and their pizza were also amazing! So glad we found this gem! What also makes this place unique, it's a family business and they care, and it definitely shows.
